Anino’s Odyssey is a long-term action-adventure game project developed with the goal of creating a rich and immersive gameplay experience. The project focused on combining custom-built systems, engaging combat mechanics, and a handcrafted visual and audio design.

The game features an expansive progression system with multiple item tiers, leveling mechanics, and increasingly challenging enemies. Players explore a stylized world, collect loot, and compete with others through shared progression systems.

Development took place over several months, allowing for significantly deeper system design compared to typical hackathon projects. The architecture included enemy AI behavior, inventory management, in-game economy, and persistent progression features.

A major focus of the project was building robust gameplay systems in Unity. This included implementing menus, dialog systems, tutorials, shop mechanics, player inventory, and scene transitions, ensuring that all components worked together seamlessly.

The project was recognized in multiple national competitions, highlighting both its technical depth and overall game design quality. It demonstrates strong experience in systems integration, long-term teamwork, and game development workflows.

Contribution

Implemented core gameplay systems in Unity, including UI, menus, dialogs, tutorials, inventory, shop mechanics, and scene management, working closely with the game designer to integrate features into a cohesive player experience.
